I bought the Banshee new in 1992 from Alba Yamaha in Poway, CA. I took it out one time to break in the engine and went straight to Chaparral Motorsports and spent some money. After only a week I had a pair of Sand Skate II paddles on polished aluminum wheels in the rear, and a pair of Razor Backs on polished aluminum wheels in the front. I also picked up a K&N filter and a set of FMF Works pipes and silencers. After owning this bike I am a firm believer that some bikes are just fast from the factory. I used to race other Banshees with equal size riders and mods and literally leave them at the bottom of the hill. A lot of guys would accuse me of having internal engine work done but I assure you all the mods were visible from 3 feet away!
